How To Restart Your Fronius Inverter?
Common issues that restarting your inverter can fix include:
- Faults and errors displayed on the inverter (note these before restarting, in case the error persists)
- Communication issues with internet monitoring (you may also need to restart your modem)
- System performance issues
There are two options to perform an inverter restart:
- Restart over night or
- Restart by disconnecting the inverter from voltage sources
Restart overnight procedure
A restart of the inverter can be performed by switching off the fuse of the inverter (or the circuit breaker of the inverter) overnight and switching it on again the next morning.
This means that the inverter is disconnected on the DC side (because no PV is generated at night) as well as from the AC overnight, and the required waiting time to discharge the capacitors is complied with.
The fuse of the inverter is not located in the inverter itself, but in the AC sub-distribution.
